It's true. I am the Most Coordinated Person on Earth (holding arms out wide to welcome applause). I was walking late Tuesday night, as I do most every night. I got to a really dark spot on the trail and reached for my light. I didn't stop walking. No. Of course not. Just as my light clicked on, I walked off a cliff. Granted, it was a three foot cliff, but that's a lot of nothing to go through when you were expecting flat solid earth. I skinned my hand/wrist trying to catch myself, and got a minor bruise on my cheek where the path belatedly came up to meet me. At the time, I was pretty pissed about it. I even uttered half a sware word. After sleeping on it, though, I decided to make the most of it. So yesterday, every time someone gave me a dirty look, knocked me out of the way, or vaguely irritated me in any way,
I would shoot them my fiercest glare before reaching up with bloodied knuckles to scratch at my bruise, like 'Yeah? You sure you wanna do that?'
Mr. Litterbug (that's Yuppie-Trash Litterbug to you)actually turned back to retrieve his discarded wrapper when I gave him the Look. He would've had to come closer to me to get to the trash can, so he stuffed it in his pocket.
Awesome.
I've got to beat myself up more often.

lol Using your scratches to clean up the environment! Nice to know that you're using you injuries for good and not evil.

Right . . . good . . . 'cause the environment is all I care about.
Messing with people's heads holds no joy for me.
You know me so well.

Aww, thank you! It's pretty much healed by today, anyway.
Spoils my fun, but yeah, healing is good.

LOL - so glad you turned a negative into a positive! I'm sure that's one hiker who has taken the phrase "Leave only footprints, take only pictures" to heart, thinking now that litterbugs get beaten up by sweet seeming park employees!

Well, I wasn't in uniform -- I could probably get in trouble for threatening guests on the clock. Even implied threats.
But yeah, I'm all about the positive.
...on the sunny side of the street...
la la la . . .
