1) Post a list of five things you currently love/like, and five things you currently hate/dislike. They can be people, places, things, ideas, whatever. Tag five people to do this - if you haven't, and you want to, have at!

Love/like:

1. Comments (Hint Hint)
2. Music. All things musical. I want my life to be like Once More, With Feeling; I want everyone to burst into song without reasonable cause.
3. Marriage. Mine, anyway. So so much.
4. Fresh air and sunshine. Not direct sunlight though. I hate having the sun on my face, or in my eyes.
5. Food. Especially fruit and popcorn. Not trail mix. That is a vicious rumor.

Hate/dislike

1. Back pain. My back is screaming at me, and I really want to scream back, STFU! My back and I, we are about to have a screaming match.
2. Sitting still. See above. Damn desk job.
3. Computer crashes, Service Pack 3, and wasted time in general.
4. Really boring names, like Bill or Richard. Mostly because I always thought my name fell into that category. I dig nicknames, especially earned ones.
5. See, I'm already back to likes. I'm not hatin on anything else at the moment. Although if you met me, you might not realize what a positive attitude I have. Complaining is my best sport.

Yeah but in 'Once More, With Feeling' bad feelings were revealed until people started to die. Mayhaps your musical life can be more like the musical episode of Scrubs- silly, random bursting into song. :D

I always hated my name because it was so boring and common. My full maiden name is Christina White. Jesus, there's only millions of people with that name in the US. Which is why I switched to "Chrysta" in high school. People have asked me about spelling it with a "y" when my full name is spelled with an "i" but I guess I was desperate to have something unique in my eternally boring name.

When I got married to my ex I was pretty excited to get Aguirre as a last name- it's so unique!! There are not a lot of Aguirre's in the phone book. I kept Aguirre when I got divorced because I felt the experience of being married was a important part of the person I became so it seemed weird to go back to White.

When Corey and I get married we're going to merge our names (Barnes & Aguirre) and become "Bairre", pronounced like "berry". Yay!

I haven't noticed that you complain all that much. You seem overwhelmingly positive to me!

I don't watch Scrubs, but I agree. I'm not looking to make everyone around me miserable. Or dead.

I couldn't come up with any decent nickname for Laura. Lor? Meh. I envied people like you, who at least had something to work with... Now I have Bubbles. I'm good with that.

That's brilliant. I was like, "I didn't know you could do that! Change both your names?" ...I guess I did know, I just never capitalized on that knowledge.

:) Thank you! I try to Let the Sunshine In. :)

See, I always loved my name because Laura has never been that common, at least around me (plus, I was named after my grandma, which added to the like factor). I knew tons of Laurens, but no Lauras. So Is liked that it wasn't odd, but not like Jennifer or whatever. But you are right that there is no nickname.

Maybe it was a wrong time/wrong place thing for me. In school, we always had to use last initials because there were so many Lauras (Laura B., Laura L., etc). I sometimes wished I had one of those crazy names like Shenquiwollo. I didn't have any positive role models with the same name, though. I imagine the sentimental factor makes a huge difference, with you sharing your grandma's name.

I hate the sun-in-the-face thing, too. So much so that I've pretty much avoided the sun up until this summer. I actually have quite the nice tan going on now that I've learned that basking in the sun doesn't have to mean being blinded by it.

Mmmm...popcorn. *craves*

I generally try to avoid tanning. I failed this summer, but it's ok. I had fun.
We need to get together sometime soon for popcorn and embarrassing video footage...
