My husband got a job as a cook at White Wolf, one of the high camps between Yosemite Valley and Toulumne Meadows. He'll be training under the head chef, and running the kitchen when the chef is off. It's exactly what he's wanted. I got a job at the front office, right next door to him. I'll basically be doing what I do now, only I'll be getting paid manager scale. It's a good deal. The only downside? Our housing there has no electricity. Ponder that.

That could cause a minor problem ... maybe along the lines of heat, hot water, lights, etc... glad I send you my package when I did .. you are going to need it girlfriend. On the bright side ... congrats to you and hubby on the new job promotions!!

Re: Ummmm..

I got your package tonight! I scared my husband, I was squealing "Monkey Socks!" so loudly. I'm so excited. I'm wearing the socks and the scarf and the gloves tomorrow. I'm going to need to grow a few more hands though, lol! You are super sweet. And just plain super.

Thank you So So much!

Re: Ummmm..

I got so excited about the package -- I forgot to respond to anything else! My husband and I are committed to our current jobs through the end of the season, so we won't be moving for at least a month. Probably two or three. By then I won't be worried about heat and such, and they do provide kerosene lamps. They're good about covering essentials. I will miss having a fan in the summer, but most of all I'm going to miss this computer!
The congratulations are welcomed. It will be fun. It will be worth it. [I need to keep writing that until I believe it]
