OK, I don't feel like doing a real update today, so I think I'll just ramble instead. My job situation is... yeah. But I'm thinking of an unrelated thing. [No, I don't expect anyone to get the reference -- rambling, remember?]
I have never worn my hair the same way twice to work. Except for those stupid little jobs where I had to wear a stupid little hat. Those don't count. Anyway. Last October when I donated my hair to charity (yeah, 16 inches, did I mention that?), that made it a bit more challenging. But then I was at a stupid little hat job until December, so I worked it out. Of course, in December I was still working at Disney, where I had to sign and accept grooming standards such as "all hairstyles must be symmetrical and strictly confined. No hair clips exceeding 1/4" will be permitted. Brightly colored hair accessories are not appropriate," etc. Sheesh. My uniform shirt is 17 shades of neon. I am not going to pass for Amish.
Anyway. [Hee. Broken record. Groove-y.] I almost (but not quite!) gave up at Disney, and then I got the timeshare job. Not only are my hairstyles unrestricted, I actually get to dress myself. Yes, I am pretty sure that this is the first job I have ever had that did not have a freaking uniform. My only guideline is "Professional attire. No sneakers." Splendiferous! Only now I get confused. Am I trying to wear a different outfit every day, or shall I just stick with the hair thing? Is this a new hairstyle, or does it just look different because I have on a so-very different outfit? Okay, it's not really that confusing, but Fun! Yay! Yeah, that's really all I have to say this morning. Going back to bed work now.
