My computer shut off the other day when I was in the middle of posting, because the plug fell out of the wall. I had already informed maintenance that the wall socket was loose and got a heartfelt shrug in response. Crap. I couldn't get back online all day; the computer kept freezing. I virus-scanned, restored, and de-fragged. I finally got it working, but at about a third the speed. Fantastic. I could really use a thousand-dollar paperweight. *sigh*
ETA: I want to apologize to the people I was chatting with when I got cut off. That was sort of the point of this post. I got sidetracked-ed. *sigh* Sorry!
